Jacquard–The Most Elegant of Textiles!

Looking for a subtle yet elegant design with a hint of pattern and neutral enough to work with anything? A Jacquard weave is the answer. A revolutionary invention in 1804 by French weaver and artisan Joseph Marie Jacquard made it possible to weave complex patterns directly into fabric. We have two beautiful examples of this prized textile: CANTU in Ivory and Blue and TERRAZZO in White and Ivory.

CANTU IVORY

CANTU BLUE

CANTU

Cantu is an organically inspired floral design.

TERRAZZO IVORY

TERRAZZO WHITE

TERRAZZO
The pattern in Terrazzo was inspired by 15th century Venetian craftsmen's use of marble and mosaic remnants for terrace flooring.

Both CANTU and TERRAZZO feature an inset applique band of jacquard woven fabric with hemstitch detailing on the sheeting. The pattern for the coordinating quilts is one of classic squares.
