Perfectly Made – A Bed Styling Showcase

main pic

It’s Autumn in New York and there could be no better time to welcome the design community to our Park Avenue showroom for a “A Bed Styling Showcase”; a primer on how to dress a perfectly made bed. This special event featured the work of designers Ellie Cullman of Cullman & Kravis, Catherine Olasky of Catherine Olasky Ltd., Elizabeth Pash of Elizabeth Pash Interiors and Antiques, and Cindy Rinfret and Taylor Mattos of Rinfret Ltd.

E. Braun collaborated with this group of talented designers to create truly imaginative bedroom displays. Bed linens and accessories from our extensive product line were selected by the designers to complement their creative vision and thoughtfully chosen décor for this unique event.

Cullman & Kravis

Inspired by the 40th anniversary of Cullman & Kravis and their new book Cullman & Kravis: Interiors, Ellie Cullman’s “Swept Away” vignette is an alchemy of old and new. Here 19th century commodes offer a foil for the contemporary artwork of photographer Penny Ashford, one of Cullman & Kravis’s first project managers. A dreamy seascape hangs above our MADAMA bed linens, FIL COUPE quilt, and LUX WHIPSTITCH throw and conveys a welcome sensation of being wonderfully transported to another place and time.

Catherine Olasky
Houston and New York City based interior designer Catherine Olasky created a  “Saturday in the Country” vignette. Catherine noted, “I was inspired by reimagining the formality and city-feel of the E. Braun & Co. products. By showing the linens in a more casual environment, I hoped to bring a more rural feeling to the products.” And indeed, the city met the country in the delightful pairing of our SIERRA embroidered bed linens and WHIPSTITCH throw with a charming Americana folk inspired décor.
Elizabeth Pash

Of the inspiration behind her design for "Vintage Meets Modern: A Calming Retreat”, featuring our CAMMEO bed linens and DIAMOND RENAISSANCE quilt, designer Elizabeth Pash said, “A bedroom should be an oasis of serenity. Soft blues and whites create a sense of calm, making the space feel both pretty and peaceful. I love mixing old and new elements: for example, vintage chests paired with modern lamps.”

Cindy Rinfret and Taylor Mattos

Designers Cindy Rinfret and Taylor Mattos were inspired by the motif of our CRISTIANO embroidered bed linens. To the mother-daughter duo it felt classic but with a twist and perfect for their “Moments Before Boarding the Orient Express” display. The bedroom captures a moment in time and a peek into the life of a world traveler. Our BONN Quilt and Euro shams in a glorious shade of blue and sumptuous SUEDE EDGE throw bring added luxury and comfort to this vignette.

We hope that this inspires you to dress a perfectly made bed and would like to invite you to visit our Park Avenue showroom in the next few weeks while the “bedrooms” are on display and to explore our diverse selection of luxury linens and accessories. Our thanks to all the designers and the companies from which a myriad of beautiful design elements were sourced. For a complete list of sources, please contact us directly.
